Kamden Earns Season Best At Lansing Regional
In last week's Mid-West Thunder, Lansing, Michigan regional, Kamden got off to a hot start on Saturday in his Light 160 heat race by finishing 3rd, one spot from locking himself in to the class' A-Main. However, Kamden did earn himself a p2 starting spot in the B-Main in which he went out, got the lead early and led the rest of the way. That B-Main win secured himself the p7 starting position in the Light 160 A-Main which was run late in the evening, under the lights. During the "A", Kamden drove magnificently earning himself his first top 10 Light 160 A-Main feature, finish ending up in the 4th overall spot out of 19 total cars in the class. The video below is the in-car video from the Light 160 A-Main.
On Sunday, with a stacked 25-car Sr. Animal field, Kamden started the day off well with a win in his heat race. This secured the car into the afternoons A-Main where he would start 4th. In the feature, the crew missed the setup by a short amount and sent him out with a race car that was a little to free
for the track conditions. However, Kamden was able to hold on to a 6th place finish, capping off his weekend with two top 10 finishes.
This was a huge weekend for Kamden and the team. Not only did he put the Light 160 car into a regional A-Main for the first time in his career but he was able to secure a spot in the Sr. Animal A-Main for the 3rd consecutive Mid-West Thunder Regional. Congrats to HMS on an outstanding weekend.
